FAQ
1. May I be in my child's classroom?
-
With district policy, we do allow parents to visit the classroom. Please allow me at least 48 hours notice so I can make sure I have a great spot for you with the best view of the room! However, if we are taking a test or do standard tests during that day, we will have to reschedule.

2. Can I set up a meeting with you about my child?
-
Of course! I always want to make sure my students are doing their very best, and if you have any concerns, we can always set up a meeting to have a discussion. Just send an email my way so we can decide what would be the best time to meet for both of us.

3. How do I know what my child is doing in class?
-
For both students and parents, I always try to update our class website regularly. For the most recent updates, please check "assignments" or "materials" so you can have a better understanding of what your child is learning. If you need anymore clarification, do not hesitate to contact me!

4. When and how is the best time to contact you?
-
The best time to contact me is M-F, 7:00am - 4:30pm by email. This does not include holidays. However, I try to be more available when students have big projects coming up.

5. What if I am uncomfortable with what is being taught.
-
For each unit that I believe will have content that may be uncomfortable for students for any reason, I will always send home a "permission slip" for students and parents to read together. I will ask for both of you to sign it to make sure you are both understanding what is being taught. If you or your students is uncomfortable with the topic, I have made alternative assignments for them to complete that will still make their learning engaging.

6. What if I have some discretions about my child's grade?
-
Always feel free to contact me! I would have no problems discussing this. If I feel like a child is "slipping" or "falling behind", I always make sure to contact both you and your student to see if there is anything I can do to help their learning. If need be, we can make a plan to see what we can do to help your student to succeed. However, please read my syllabus to understand the policies in the class.
