Reasoning Statement: On the first day of entering Boltz Middle School, my peers and I signed a statement that stated we would hold ourselves to the highest standard. Not only are we holding ourselves to Boltz community standards, but also the standards of CSU and the education program.

Reasoning Statement: Before class started, I was able to sit down with my mentor teacher and ask about her past 10 years in teaching. Through the interview, I was able to see her growth, and see how she has kept her want of being a service to society. After completing this interview, it really inspired me and helped me understand how I wanted to help my students once I was in my own classroom.

Reasoning Statement: Before entering the classroom, I was able to participate in a diversity workshop held by the Business Diversity Leadership Alliance (BDLA). With this experience, it helped me solidify my understanding that students come from all walks of life, and in my classroom, I will have to be taking this into consideration when building relationships and assigning work to my students, as well as building my diverse learning lesson plans.

Reasoning Statement: Through my second phase, I was able to have an opportunity to be in a Language Arts Department chair meeting for PSD. While only typing, I was able to witness how colleagues from different schools are working together to make sure all students in the district are getting the best education possible, especially when 8th graders are transitioning to high school.
